How to not make "Administrator" the owner of a folder created in Windows Explorer when UAC is off?
I am trying to understand the behavior of who the "NTFS owner" is of a folder when I create it in Windows 7.
When I have UAC at any setting that is not OFF, if I go into Windows Explorer, and create a new folder, the NTFS owner of the folder is my user account - that is the desired behavior.
However, if I have UAC off, and I create a folder, the NTFS owner of the new folder is "Administrator", not my user account, and this is the undesired behavior.
I would like to have UAC off, but at the same time, I would like to have my user account be the owner of a folder when I create the folder, while UAC is off.
I am using Windows 7 Professional 64bit.
Can anyone explain why the owner of a new directory when it is created depends on whether or not UAC is on or off?
Can anyone tell me how to make the owner of a newly created folder into my user account when UAC is turned off?
